Resurfacing Water - 10% Glycolic Acid - 112.00 CHF

WHAT MAKES IT SO EFFECTIVE?

Derived from cane sugar, glycolic acid is the smallest molecule in the group of AHA actives so it is able to penetrate the skin deeply and easily, making it the most effective AHA. It has been shown to be the most effective at stimulating collagen production, thus better promoting deeper wrinkle reduction.

Chemical peels using a high percentage of this acid can be very effective when done safely and properly. An even better way to use glycolic acid is as a daily exfoliator, providing the same results as stronger peels but greater ease and safety … and often better results as the consistent application makes the effects cumulative.

A specific sugar polymer that keeps exfoliation safely limited to the outer layers of the epidermis.

Pharmaceutical-grade fraction obtained from Centella asiatica, also known as “tiger herb”. It is not the mere extract of the plant but its purified and much more active form.

HOW TO USE

Night-time only, after the usual cleansing and before serum and/or moisturizer. 

Apply over the face and neck areas, either with a cotton pad or simply with palm of the hand. Do not rinse after application.

The use of sun protection in the morning is strongly advised as AHAs can pose a risk of sun burn, whenever skin is not properly shielded from UV exposure.

This was the product I was most interested to try from the recent discovery bag. The name piqued my interest because since hitting my 30's, my skin cells need all the shocking they can get!

I'm used to AHA's so I wasn't concerned about using this. It has the highest concentration of glycolic acid you will find in a skincare item so if you're looking for intense results, this is the product to go for.

I can't explain just how smooth and resurfaced your skin feels after using this toner. My skin feels so clarified and and clean. I've had a couple of small pimples lately from stress and this cleared them completely.

I love this toner so much and will be recommending it to everyone I know!

Be careful if you have very sensitive skin. This product contains 10% glycolic acid.

MAGICAL SKIN TRANSFORMATION

I think the phrase “resurfacing water” is a misnomer. Sure, it looks and feels like water however it should be called “magical water”.
I do have rosacea on my cheeks and this product is not recommended for that part of your skin. This did not deter me from using this product because my area of concern for my skin is my neck and décolletage so I concentrated on applying this product to these areas.
The instructions say to use it every second night and build up usage from there.
To my surprise my neck does look way smoother. I am going to try this on my forehead next hoping I will get a similar result.
I would definitely purchase this product again. I wish I had found it earlier to prevent the crease lines on my neck.
Don't use product on inflamed skin or acne, you will make it worse.

Is it ok to use retinol with this, or should it be paired with a more hydrating serum and instead alternate the resurfacing water and retinol on different nights?

It's possible to use glycolic acid and retinol together, but we recommend first introducing each one individually to see how your skin tolerates them. Start by using them on alternate nights in your evening routine, allowing your skin time to adjust before combining. The concentration and strength of each active should also be considered. For example, our Resurfacing Water contains 10% glycolic acid, which is on the stronger side. We suggest combining it with retinol only once your skin is comfortable with this 10% concentration, which may take a few weeks of use.
