PACKAGING
Since 2020, we have started the process of transitioning all of our boxes to FSC certified boxes sourced from sustainable forests in Europe.
Currently, 95% of our boxes proudly bear the FSC label. The FSC label is the benchmark for the paper industry, imposing strict specifications with only 5% of the world's forests being FSC-certified.
REDUCING PLASTIC AND WASTE
In 2019, Swissline started to revamp the jars of its existing products. Did you know, 67% of our jars are made of glass? Jars account for 22% of our products.
As of 2023, 57% of our consumer products are made of recyclable and recycled materials: glass, aluminum, and PCR plastic (recycled plastic).
We will continue to reduce the amount of packaging whenever feasible, and we will prioritize locally-sourced components wherever possible.
PRODUCTS
We're proud to announce that in 2022, we achieved a significant milestone by transitioning to 100% recyclable materials for our cabins and professional components. Our professional bottles are now crafted from cane sugar, a renewable resource that grows easily. Our professional tubes are made of Post Consumer Recycled Plastic. Additionally, we've minimized waste by removing unnecessary items such as spatulas.
LAUNDRY
We prioritize sustainability by carefully selecting bath linen with longevity in mind. Not only does this provide unparalleled comfort to our customers, it has an incredible lifespan made possible through the innovative Dreamsoft technology developed by our French partner, exemplifying our commitment to sustainability at every step.
In Switzerland, the home of our production, we've carefully selected partners who prioritize sustainability as a core element of their strategy.
Our production facilities have embraced renewable resources, resulting in a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2018.
Our logistics partner is acting on its social and environmental impact.
We are cruelty-free and do not test products or ingredients on animals.
Through our concerted efforts to minimize plastic usage and adopt certified packaging, we are actively mitigating threats to biodiversity. To go above and beyond, we are sponsoring the Lovebirds Conservation Project.
3 out of the 9 Lovebirds species are considered threatened and the WPT project is creating several field actions to recuperate the wild populations of these species. The World Parrot Trust mission is to save wild parrots from extinction, ensuring optimal care for companion parrots.
All employees are trained to understand and address climate impact. Nurturing collaboration is integral to our culture, ensuring employees are actively involved in all company reflections. Our flexible working model offers hybrid work, part-time options, and a flat hierarchy.
Extending the lifetime of our equipment & limiting waste: it applies to IT as well as any of our equipment in the office. We have been taking actions like reducing printing, sorting and reducing waste.
We commit to optimizing business trips (ex: train versus planes, or for local trips train versus car). Allowing flexible working allows our employees to reduce the need to commute.

We choose partners who share our human & social values.
Since 2011, we have partnered with the Foundation St. Hubert in Switzerland for packaging products and kits assembly.
The foundation works with businesses to create jobs for people with disabilities.
Over the past six years, Swissline has supported the Swiss non-profit organization Momentum with donations. The work of Momentum is dedicated to female empowerment, education, and gender equality in Rwanda.
In honor of #InternationalWomensDay, Swissline is thrilled to launch the Pouches project, showcasing the talent and resilience of the young women behind these creations.
171 young women have received support since 2018.
Swissline has been a partner of DRINK & DONATE, a non-profit organization based in Zurich that provides clean, drinking water for those in need in developing countries.
Around 780 million people worldwide do not have access to clean drinking water. According to UNICEF, over 4,000 people die every day from the effects of contaminated water.
We support DRINK & DONATE to fund and build water projects in Africa and Asia.
Since 2019, Swissline has purchased water footprint certificates on behalf of all of our Swiss-based employees.

We are operating with an environmental and social consciousness. We are committed to pursuing our efforts. This is why we are sharing our next actions transparently.
ECO PACKAGING
We will continue to work on the eco-design of our packaging in order to reduce the amount of plastic and the size of our boxes.
Moreover, all new productions will no longer include spatulas.
CARBON FOOTPRINT
We will be carrying out our first Swissline carbon footprint analysis at the end of 2024. This will enable us to work on a detailed plan to reduce our emissions.
RAISING AWARENESS
The plan for the coming year is to raise awareness among our partners and suppliers about climate change. Recognizing that we are all interconnected in this effort, we will integrate sustainability education into our training modules within our app for our Spa partners.
