NAD+ AND NMN – THE BASICS

NAD+(Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide), often called “the longevity molecule,” is a co-enzyme central to cellular metabolism. It plays a key role at the mitochondrial level, helping cells generate energy. As we age - and particularly during menopause - NAD+ levels naturally decrease which can lead to wrinkles, reduced elasticity and dull-looking skin.

NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is a precursor molecule, or “building block” that helps the body produce more NAD⁺. While NMN is now available as a food supplement, NAD+ can’t be effectively absorbed orally. Additionally, neither NMN nor NAD+, have a known pathway to be made bioavailable topically.
