Promoting women's equality in Africa: Shera Lesueur of momentum foundation
For the past six years, Swissline has supported Swiss non-profit organization Momentum and its amazing work of breaking the cycle of poverty in Rwanda. We recently sat down with Momentum’s Co-Founder, Shera Lesueur to discuss the projects Momentum is working on to actively promote equality, education, and sustainable development in the country.
MOMENTUM: AN INTERVIEW WITH CO-FOUNDER SHERA LESUEUR
Swissline is proud to partner and support Momentum as they amplify the voices of young girls in Rwanda. One of their projects, Sewing New Futures, involves giving these girls the skillset to sew beautiful pouches with traditional African fabric. This year, these pouches were used as part of our International Women’s Day initiative.
"For me, education is the basis for development as an individual and even as a country...Education is the basis for prosperity. If you go to school, if you learn, then you can have a job and then it's a win-win for everyone, for the community and for the country." - Shera Lesueur
